Designation: Deputy General Manager/ GM - Design

Location: Mumbai

We are seeking an experienced and innovative leader to take charge of our Design and Creative Operations. The DGM/GM - Design will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end design process, ensuring alignment with client expectations, and driving the commercial success of all design projects. This pivotal demands strong leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to deliver exceptional design solutions within stipulated timelines and budgets.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF A DESIGN BUSINESS LEADER?

Key Result Areas: Design Management, Client Delight, Presales Conversion, Team Management, Resource Optimisation, Internal Coordination, Client Presentations.

Project Leadership:

- Serve as the design lead for projects, collaborating with the sales team to develop project briefs and lead client presentations/pitches.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring alignment with their vision and addressing all design-related discussions..

- Take ownership of managing multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring they are on track in terms of quality, timelines, and budgets.

Team Management:

- Oversee the workload distribution across the design team, fostering collaboration and productivity.

- Mentor and guide team members by providing constructive feedback, QA/QC reviews, and direction on design methodologies.

- Build and nurture a high-performing team, empowering them to excel and deliver innovative designs.

Design Excellence:

- Supervise the design process from concept to execution, ensuring high-quality, functional, and creative outcomes.

- Drive innovative and sustainable design solutions tailored to client requirements and project goals.

- Ensure comprehensive knowledge of materials, costing, and GFC details are applied effectively.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment on project design, costs, timelines, and execution plans.

- Work closely with the operations team to ensure the on-ground implementation reflects the design intent.

Client Engagement:

- Build strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring seamless communication throughout the project lifecycle.

- Drive client satisfaction by delivering exceptional outcomes aligned with their expectations.

Business Leadership:

- Contribute to pre-sales activities by leading design-related pitches and presentations.

- Optimize resources and processes to achieve efficiency and profitability.

- Demonstrate a strategic mindset to manage P&L effectively and support the organization's growth goals.
