Job Description
- Talent Management
- Conduct talent mapping and succession planning to identify and groom high-potential team members in Planning function.
- Facilitate skill mapping to align individual capabilities with organizational needs.
- Design and implement training programs to address competency gaps and enhance planning team s capabilities including dispatchers and equipment controller.
- Restructuring / re-organize planning function to ensure BUs are future ready.
- Continuous Improvement / Lean Implementation
- Driver lean implementation in the planning function
- Initiate and drive regional Kaizens to promote a culture of continuous improvement in the BUs
- Collaborate with terminal planning teams to identify and implement best practices across the region.
- Driving enhancements in safety & customer experience enhancements through planning process
- Terminal Planning Support
- Provide strategic support to terminals on berth, yard, vessel and rail planning and yard strategy development.
- Assist in optimizing terminal operations through effective equipment resource planning and process enhancements.
- Performance Monitoring
- Define, measure, and track key operational metrics across terminals.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with terminals to ensure performance targets are met.
- Engagement and Communication
- Lead weekly engagement drives for collaboration and alignment across terminals.
- Act as a bridge between the ROE, GOE and Terminals to address operational challenges.
- Carry out process confirmations of critical planning process, post incidents and for improvement.
- Technology & Innovation
- Lead rollout of Terminal Operating System (TOS), upgrades and enhancements across terminals.
- Drive digitalization and innovation projects to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Partner with IT teams to identify and deploy technology solutions for operational excellence.
