Chef / Product Development Manager

Position Overview:
Demi's - The Meat Store is seeking a talented and innovative Chef/Product Development Manager to lead our culinary initiatives and product offerings. The ideal candidate will combine culinary expertise with strategic thinking to create exceptional products that align with our brand and meet customer preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development:

• Develop new recipes and products, focusing on fresh and innovative ideas that align with market trends and customer demands.
• Enhance existing product offerings through refinement of recipes and presentation.

2. Menu & Product Strategy:

• Collaborate with the management team to design and implement product strategies that drive sales and enhance brand value.
• Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to ensure a competitive product lineup.

3. Quality Assurance:

• Maintain high-quality standards in the preparation, packaging, and presentation of all products.
• Conduct regular checks on raw materials and finished products to ensure consistency and excellence.

4. Team Leadership:

• Train and mentor kitchen staff in product preparation, recipe adherence, and best practices.
• Foster a culture of innovation, quality, and teamwork within the kitchen.

5. Operational Management:

• Collaborate with procurement teams to source high-quality ingredients.
• Optimize processes to improve efficiency and minimize waste.

6. Customer Engagement:

• Collaborate with the marketing team to highlight new product launches and gather feedback to refine offerings.

Qualifications:

• Culinary degree or equivalent experience in the food industry.
• 0-5 years of experience in product development, culinary arts, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of meat products and culinary techniques.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Creativity and passion for developing unique and high-quality products.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
