Test Engineer

Job Description:

Perform Integration Testing on Industrial Automation products like Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), AC Servo Drives, Human Machine Interface (HMI), and Industrial Robots etc. in CODESYS.

Participate in product development? software and hardware testing.

Travel to customer site on short notice to capture the pain points & resolve them.

Perform integration tests on devices, networks, software, and firmware.

Train the Field Application Engineers (FAE) & customers upon New Product Introduction (NPI).

Skill Requirement:

Must have at least 4 ~ 8 years of experience in Testing of Industrial Automation products.

Thorough knowledge of Industrial Automation domain in Integration Testing for PLC, CNC, HMI, VFD, AC Servo Drives, Robots, Network Gateways, etc.

In-depth knowledge of Industrial Automation protocols - Modbus Serial, MODBUS TCP, EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, CANOpen, EtherCAT, IO Link, etc.

Thorough knowledge of IEC-61131-3 Programming languages - Ladder Logic (LD), Structured Text (ST), Function Block Diagram (FBD), Sequential Function Chart (SFC), write test cases, perform testing on product integration of devices using Industrial Communication protocols, test Hardware Configuration, Remote IO (RIO) units, Motion Control.

Experience in products like Schneider Electrics SoMachine Expert, CODESYS, Beckoffs TwinCAT, Omron’s CXOne etc.

Working Experience in Microsoft .NET/C# automation scripts using Selenium, MS Visual Studio, NUnit and annotations. Designed and developed Automation Frameworks like KeyWord Driven, Hybrid Driven and BDD/TDD.

Experience in defect tracking using Rational, ClearQuest, TFS etc. and ISTQB Basic testing certification.

Experience in OEM Machine commissioning, Machine design, usage of Functions, Function Blocks, Derived Function Blocks, Device Type Managers (DTM), functional, endurance testing.
