Job Title: Bar Tender
Function: F&B Service
Location: Lonavala
Primary Purpose
This position primarily of preparing beverages for patrons and serving them at the bar or through the service staff. Maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
Major skills and accountabilities of position (4-6 major accountabilities)
1. Should have training or experience with Bartending.
2. Should have strong communication skills, multitasking, attention to detail, strong observational skills, and positive attitude.
3. Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks.
4. Should have knowledge in Computers/software.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Ability to Mix beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits.
2. Ability to take beverage orders from customers or service staff and serving drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail.
3. Ability to satisfy guest requests in a timely manner and assessing customer preferences and making drink recommendations.
4. Ability to provide a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting , checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers.
5. Ability to keep a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories.
6. Ability to clean the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a sanitary environment.
7. Ability to limit customer problems by restricting alcohol intake and attempting to curtail inappropriate behaviour.
Work relations (context - main interfaces - functional report)
1. Reports to Assistant Manager - Bar.
2. Interfaces strongly with department heads and Bar employees.
Experience and qualifications required for the job
Should be a Hotel Management Graduate or Culinary school diploma or related field with experience of minimum 1-2 years.
