Title: Assembly Technician

Reports to: Manufacturing Manager

Company Overview: Deepsea Technologies Inc. (DTI) based in Houston, Texas USA provides engineered products and manufacturing services to the offshore oil & gas industry. DTI was established in 2001 and operates under an ISO 9001 certified quality management system. DTIs sister concern, Deepsea Technologies (India) Pvt.Ltd.(DTIPL) is in Hyderabad, India and provides engineering and support services to DTI Houston.

DMD Description: Deepsea Manufacturing Division (DMD) based in Telangana, Hyderabad, Jeedimetla and established in 2009. Its provides quality subsea machined products, assembly and QC services to the offshore oil & gas industry. DMD is certified to ISO 9001: 2015 and API Q1.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, hydraulic schematic, P&ID, sketches and written instructions to

assemble parts or products.

• Assemble electro-hydraulic / pneumatic systems consisting of bending complex tubing runs.
• Assemble HPUs, subsea controls, distribution and intervention equipment per drawing and
  bill of material requirements.
• Familiar with operation of Electric Pumps, Pneumatic Pumps, Direction Control Valves, Flow

meters, Level Switches, Sensors. Troubleshoots to identify issues.

• Familiar with Hydraulic and Pneumatic principles applicable to controls equipment and

assemblies.

• Operate test equipment in compliance with engineering standards and workmanship
  standards.
• Perform functional testing on assemblies per engineered drawings, test procedures and/or

other criteria.

• Identify and communicate design discrepancies.
• Identify and suggest design improvements.
• Maintenance of machinery, equipment and good housekeeping in the work area.
• Ensure safety while operating, assembling and testing equipment.
• Participate in Deepsea Technologies Safety and Quality observation programs.
• Ensure that quality process and procedures are followed.

Education and Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in engineering
• Technical/vocational electrical training desirable
• 5 + years of experience in hydraulics and mechanical tubing & assembly
• High level of expertise in assembly of Electro-Hydraulic Power and Control units, subsea
  distribution equipment and drilling control systems.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of hydraulic operations and componentry.
• Mechanical background and general knowledge in the use of basic hand and power tools, drill
  press and mill, tube bending equipment and hydraulic test equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work on multifunction teams.
• Ability to balance customer demands against company constraints.
• Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes
• Ability to use a computer and Windows Office software Physical Demands:
• Physical requirements are those typically found in an office and manufacturing shop
  environment.
