Purchase Executive

Job Overview:

We are seeking a well organized and experienced Purchase Executive to manage the procurement of various goods for our pharmaceutical manufacturing factory. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sourcing quality materials at competitive prices, negotiating effectively with vendors, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires strong negotiation, time management, and organizational skills to ensure efficient procurement processes.

Responsibilities:

• Source and procure materials: Identify and source maintenance and spare parts, laboratory chemicals, and other miscellaneous items from local vendors.
• Negotiate with vendors: Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure the best possible deals for the company.
• Process purchase orders: Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
• Track orders and deliveries: Monitor order status, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Maintain accurate records: Maintain detailed records of purchases, including vendor information, pricing, and delivery details.
• Build vendor relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply and favorable terms.
• Cost optimization: Continuously seek opportunities to reduce procurement costs through negotiation, vendor consolidation, and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment
• Proven experience in procuring solvents, laboratory chemicals, maintenance items, and miscellaneous goods
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational abilities
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
• Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
