Intern - Digital Merchandiser

About the Role:

The Ecommerce Merchandising Intern will play an essential role in supporting the execution of merchandising strategies to drive sales and enhance customer experience across web and app platforms.

This role demands you to work closely with the merchandising, sales, and product teams to ensure optimal product placement, and visibility on digital platforms. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of eCommerce.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Merchandising:
• Assist in uploading and organizing products on the e-commerce platform.
• Help categories products and tag them to ensure easy navigation and improved discoverability.
• Collaborate with the team to feature seasonal products, promotions, and best-sellers.
2. Digital Design:
• Work on product image editing, ensuring images are high quality and optimized for online display.
• Assist in designing digital banners and seasonal content.
• Ensure all designs align with the brand's visual identity and guidelines.
3. Website Maintenance:
• Help update product pages, including descriptions, prices, and product visuals.
• Ensure the website is always up-to-date with the latest product listings and promotions.
• Collaborate on improving the user experience by ensuring products are easy to browse and find.
4. Learning and Development:
• Participate in training and learning sessions to improve digital design skills, e-commerce knowledge, and merchandising practices.
• Work closely with team members to develop a deeper understanding of online merchandising strategies and digital marketing trends.
• Provide suggestions for Design & Merchandising improvements and assist in the testing of new website features.

Requirements:

• Education: Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, eCommerce or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar software (familiarity with Canva is a plus).
• Strong analytical, logical reasoning and data interpretation skills.
• Strong interest in e-commerce, digital merchandising, and design.
• Creativity and attention to detail with a willingness to learn and grow in a professional environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work part-time hours with a flexible schedule.
