Cloud Infra Engineer

This is a full-time role as a GCP Infrastructure Engineer Datametica. He/She will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of GCP infrastructure solutions, providing guidance on Cloud Infrastructure Architecture, Cloud Network Architecture design & implementation, and ensuring the scalability, reliability, security, logging & monitoring of the cloud environment. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting infrastructure assessments, analyzing requirements, and implementing best practices for cloud infrastructure management.

Qualifications, Required Skills and Abilities

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 4 plus years of demonstrated relevant experience deploying, configuring and supporting GCP cloud Infrastructure - IaaS and PaaS
• Experience in configuring and managing the GCP infrastructure environment components
• Foundation components - Networking (VPN, Firewall and Routes), IAM, Folder Structure, Org Policy, Advanced Security etc.
  
• Application Components - BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Cloud Monitoring, VM etc.
• Operational Components - Audit Logs, Monitoring, Alerts, Billing Exports etc.
• Security Components - KMS, Secrets Management etc.
• Experience with Infrastructure Automation using Terraform, Cloud Formation, etc.
• Experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with Cloud Build, Jenkins, Azure Devops, Bitbucket Pipelines etc. & Source Code Management tools like GIT
• Experience with scripting - Shell Scripting and Python
• Knowledge of GCP services and architecture
• Experience with infrastructure assessments and analysis
• Understanding of cloud security best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Relevant certifications in GCP cloud infrastructure is a plus
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong Team Player
