Job Description
- In This Role, You Will: Design, develop, and manage databases on the AWS cloud platform Develop and maintain automation scripts or jobs to perform routine database tasks such as provisioning, backups, restores, and data migrations
- Build and maintain automated testing frameworks for database changes and upgrades to minimize the risk of introducing errors
- Implement self-healing mechanisms to automatically recover from database failures or performance degradation
- Integrate database automation tools with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous delivery and deployment of database changes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and ensure that the databases meet their needs Implement and manage database security policies, including access control, data encryption, and backup and recovery procedures
- Ensure that database backups and disaster recovery procedures are in place and tested regularly
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries, data models, and technical specifications Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and trends and evaluate new tools and products that could improve database performance and scalability
