Job Description
Roles &Responsibilities:
JobOverview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Tester withexpertise in Power BI to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate willbe responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of ourdata solutions, with a focus on Power BI reports and dashboards. As a DataTester, you will collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, andbusiness stakeholders to validate data integrity, identify anomalies, andcontribute to the overall improvement of data quality.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Validation:
Perform thorough testing of datasets, reports, and dashboards developed inPower BI to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Validate data transformation processes and ETL pipelines that feed into PowerBI.
Quality Assurance:
Develop and execute test plans to validate the functionality and performance ofPower BI reports and dashboards.
Identify and report data quality issues, ensuring timely resolution incollaboration with the data engineering team.
Power BI Expertise:
Utilize advanced Power BI functionalities to conduct in-depth testing,including DAX expressions, custom visuals, and data modelling.
Stay current with Power BI updates and best practices to optimize testingprocesses.
Collaboration:
Work closely with data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders tounderstand data requirements and business logic.
Collaborate with the development team to ensure that data testing aligns withproject timelines and goals.
Documentation:
Document test cases, test results, and issues in a clear and organized manner.
Create and maintain documentation related to data validation processes andtesting methodologies.
Continuous Improvement:
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance testing processes and contributeto the continuous improvement of data quality practices.
Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to disseminate best practices acrossthe team.
Communication:
Effectively communicate testing results and issues to both technical andnon-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with business users to gather feedback and incorporate it into thetesting process.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor\u2019s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a relatedfield.
Proven experience in data testing, with a focus on Power BI.
Strong understanding of data structures, databases, and data modellingconcepts.
Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.
In-depth knowledge of Power BI functionalities, including DAX, data modelling,and custom visuals.
Experience with ETL processes and data transformation testing.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment todelivering high-quality results.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-pacedenvironment.
