ETL Tester

Experienced ETL Tester (Google Cloud Platform) Exp- 5+yrs

Location- only local to Bangalore Responsibilities: Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand ETL requirements and design test scenarios. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL processes. Validate data transformations, data quality, and data consistency across various GCP services. Perform end-to-end testing of data pipelines, including data ingestion, transformation, and loading into BigQuery. Identify and report defects, ensuring timely resolution. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on ETL code. Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs to ensure smooth execution. Create and maintain documentation related to ETL testing processes and best practices.

 

Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as an ETL tester, preferably with hands-on experience in GCP components (Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery). Strong SQL skills for data validation and querying. Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages. Knowledge of data modeling concepts and data warehousing. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Good communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills: GCP certification (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer). Experience with Apache Beam for Dataflow development. Understanding of data security and compliance requirements.
