Senior Manager - Accounts/Finance

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations:

- Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable / receivable, payroll and general ledger management.

- Oversee and ensure accurate data entry, reconciliations and maintenance of financial records in Tally ERP.

Financial Reporting:

- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.

- Generate monthly, quarterly and annual reports for management review.

- Provide insights into financial performance and recommended cost-saving strategies.

Compliance and Auditing:

- Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax regulations, company laws and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).

- Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies and consultants for adults and compliance reviews.

- Handle VAT, WHT, corporate tax filings and remittances accurately and timely.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial plans.

- Identify variances between actual and budgeted figures and recommended corrective measures.

Team Management and Leadership:

- Lead and mentor a team of accountants to ensure productivity and professional growth.

- Foster a collaborative work environment and maintain a high ethical standards.

System Optimization:

- Ensure Tally ERP is utilized effectively for financial management and reporting.

- Recommend and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field.

- Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA or equivalent professional qualification would be an added advantage.

- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in accounting and finance, with atleast 5 years in a senior manager role in the manufacturing industry.

- Extensive hands-on experience with Tally ERP is mandatory.

- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting and cost control.

- Exceptional leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
