Develop and implement strategies to meet the company s long-term funding and working capital requirements in collaboration with Annual Business Plans, Monthly Rolling Estimates, and weekly reviews.

Align funding and cash flow strategies to minimize the cost of capital while maintaining liquidity.

Identify and engage with new banking partners to establish a pipeline for future funding needs.

2. Investment and Surplus Fund Management

Formulate and execute investment strategies to manage surplus funds efficiently, ensuring optimal returns while mitigating risk.

Continuously evaluate and identify investment opportunities in fixed income, fixed deposits of Banks , mutual funds, and other financial instruments in line with the company s financial treasury policy.

Monitor market trends, assess risk profiles, and recommend adjustments to the investment portfolio as required.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational investment policies.

3. Relationship Management

Build and nurture strong relationships with banking partners, credit rating agencies, and Treasury function.

Negotiate favorable terms with banks and financial institutions to optimize cost structures and investment returns.

Actively participate in credit rating reviews and advocate for potential upgrades to enhance the organization s financial standing.

4. Operational Excellence and Compliance

Oversee treasury operations, including account services, forex payments, cash flow management, bank reconciliations, and fund disbursements.

Ensure compliance with all banking and investment regulations, operational manuals, and company policies.

Drive process improvements through digitization, automation, and adoption of best practices in treasury and investment operations.

5. Cost Control and Optimization

Lead cost optimization initiatives across treasury functions and investment management.

Monitor and manage the cost of capital while ensuring timely and efficient funding.

Evaluate and recommend financing options and investment avenues for cost-effective and profitable outcomes.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with the Sales Department to design and implement a cost-effective and efficient collection strategy.

Collaborate with unit heads and factory locations to assess and manage fund requirements, ensuring timely fund availability.

Provide guidance to unit-based banking and treasury operations to ensure compliance with policies and processes.

7. Team Leadership and Development

Lead, mentor, and develop the banking, corporate finance, and investment teams to create a high-performing, growth-oriented culture.

Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and equip team members with the necessary skills and resources.

Foster knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement to meet the organization s evolving financial needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA (Finance), CFA, or equivalent qualification in finance, accounting, or investments.

Experience: 10-15 years of experience in banking, treasury, corporate finance, and investment management, preferably within the sugar or manufacturing industry.

Skills:

Expertise in treasury operations, investment management, and financial planning.

Strong relationship management and negotiation skills with banks, financial institutions, and credit rating agencies.

In-depth understanding of compliance, regulatory frameworks, and investment strategies.

Proven leadership and team management abilities.

Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and treasury management tools.
