Manager - Laboratory

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lab Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our laboratory. The Lab Manager will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services, maintaining accreditation standards, and managing a dynamic team of professionals. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, managerial skills, and a passion for healthcare excellence.

Lab Operations Management:

• Oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Develop and implement quality control processes to maintain diagnostic accuracy.

Team Leadership:

• Supervise and mentor laboratory staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs for team development.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

• Ensure the laboratory meets NABL/CAP accreditation requirements.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to uphold compliance with healthcare regulations.

Resource Management:

• Manage laboratory inventory, procurement, and budget to optimize resources effectively.
• Ensure the availability and proper maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Strategic Planning:

• Drive process improvements and implement innovative techniques to enhance service delivery.
• Collaborate with other departments to align laboratory services with hospital objectives.

Customer Service:

• Maintain high levels of patient satisfaction through prompt, accurate, and empathetic service.
• Address and resolve escalated concerns or complaints regarding lab services.

Requirement:

• BSc MLT / MSc MLT. MBA in Hospital administration is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and diagnostic techniques.
• Proven experience with quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS) and related software.
