The Retina Fellowship is an advanced training program designed to provide specialized education and hands-on experience in the diagnosis and management of retinal disorders. The fellow will work closely with experienced ophthalmologists and retinal specialists to develop expertise in medical and surgical interventions related to the retina. Responsibilities: Clinical Training: Participate in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of retinal disorders. Gain proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as OCT, fluorescein angiography, and fundus photography. Attend and actively contribute to clinical rounds, case presentations, and discussions. Surgical Experience: Assist and observe in a variety of retinal surgical procedures, including vitrectomy, scleral buckle, and intravitreal injections. Develop surgical skills under the guidance of experienced retinal surgeons. Attend surgical conferences and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills. Research and Publications: Engage in research activities related to retinal disorders. Collaborate with mentors and colleagues to contribute to scientific publications and presentations. Present research findings at conferences and meetings. Education and Teaching: Provide educational support to residents and medical students rotating through the retina service. Participate in educational conferences, grand rounds, and seminars. Patient Care: Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients with retinal disorders. Participate in outpatient clinics, emergency consultations, and follow-up visits. Professional Development: Stay abreast of current literature, advancements, and best practices in the field of retina. Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and continuing education activities. Qualifications: Completion of an accredited ophthalmology residency program. Eligibility for medical licensure. Demonstrated interest in retinal diseases and surgery.
