- Design, implement, and manage database solutions to meet the evolving needs of the business, adhering to internal security protocols.
- Provide comprehensive post-implementation support for database deployments, troubleshooting issues and ensuring user satisfaction.
- Oversee the timely delivery of database services, maintaining high uptime and availability for internal and external clients.
- Champion the adoption of new database technologies and open-source solutions to optimize our infrastructure.
- Possess in-depth expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (primary focus) and Oracle Database platforms, with hands-on experience in administration tasks.
- Manage and optimize SQL AlwaysOn Availability Groups for disaster recovery and high availability.
- Perform essential SQL Server administration tasks, including backups, recovery, installations, and patching.
- Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks, implementing tuning strategies for optimal efficiency.
- Enforce robust database security measures to safeguard sensitive data and maintain system integrity.
- Manage Oracle database environments, including installations, patching, backups, and recovery procedures.
- Conduct regular database capacity management activities, including purging and other maintenance tasks.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and industry best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, system administrators, and other IT professionals to ensure database alignment with business requirements.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
Qualifications :
- 5+ years of demonstrably successful experience as a Database Administrator in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Proven expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration, including AlwaysOn Availability Groups.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle Database administration, covering installations, patching, backups, and recovery.
- Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices for data protection.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Experience with database capacity management and maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries and scripts for database management tasks.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
