Job Description : Data Privacy Consultant

Location : Mumbai (Work From Office)

Experience : 4 years

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, implement, and maintain data privacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with global, regional, and local data protection laws and regulations.

- Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) to identify risks and recommend mitigating strategies.

- Monitor compliance with data privacy standards such as GDPR, CCPA, ISO/IEC 27701, and other leading frameworks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed data privacy practices into organizational operations and projects.

- Evaluate data processing activities and identify potential privacy risks, providing actionable recommendations to minimize exposure.

- Support the development of privacy training programs to raise awareness and enhance compliance across the organization.

- Respond to data subject access requests (DSARs), ensuring timely and appropriate handling in alignment with legal requirements.

- Assist in defining and executing a robust data privacy risk management strategy.

Key Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Law, Business, or a related field.

- 4+ years of experience in data privacy, data protection, or related fields.

- Strong knowledge of global data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and leading privacy standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27701).

- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs).

- Proficient in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies related to data privacy.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical

teams.

- Relevant certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CDPSE are a plus.
