Role & responsibilities

Identification of eligible children who requires academic support and link them in Children Activity Centre (CAC).

Conduct Baseline collate the data and share it with the programme manager

Conduct quarterly need assessment for children at CACs and presenting the inferences to the stakeholders

Conduct meetings with the parents of the children on monthly basis and share the progress of the children regularly.

Conduct home visits of the children who are absent from the CAC to ensure regularity of the children in the CAC.

Enrolling children in the schools, ICDS centers and linking the children with NIOS. Develop new, creative activities as appropriate for the children to enhance their learning abilities.

Consistently collect data on activities implemented at CAC level and attendance, recording attendance of children. submit weekly reports that are on time and of high quality

Ensure adherence to the Code of Conduct and reporting procedure.

Responsible for supporting child group, Adolescent group and Community Group activities, including life skills sessions, psychosocial support and awareness.

Run awareness sessions for children and parents, and support other project staffs to facilitate awareness sessions, as required.

Flag protection issues which need to be addressed through awareness raising activities and support the development of key message and materials

Build and manage relationships with Government school management

Ensure smooth functioning and implementation of programme activities at CACs along with the expected outputs

Attend and share the experience in regular weekly/monthly/quarterly meetings. Organise and Participate in Community and SMC meetings

Document the Best Practices being used in CACs, Prepare monthly report of the work. Regular tracking of children in community. To identify dropout and Never to School children and make efforts to enrol them in Government schools.

To support organising Enrolment drive campaign in slums with the support of Government teachers, SMC members and Education government authorities.
