Lead Engineer - QA Automation

At Eaton India Innovation Center , we are currently building world class software solutions for our customers and seeking a Lead Engineer - QA to join the team!. This position is based at our office in Magarpatta City, Pune. Our aim is to provide world class Service and Connected solutions software for Eaton Vehicle Group customers.

As a Lead Engineer in QA you will define test strategies, toolsets, and bring knowledge to the team. You will also develop test plans, test scripts and procedures to verify functionality of multiple . Defines test strategy, develops detailed test plans, specifications, test cases, test scripts and test data sets that validate functional, performance requirements and update existing test procedures based on requirement changes and test analysis.

Someone who is skilled in this position will:
Develops, execute, and maintain extensible automated tests; skillsets in C#, Java, Python, Poweshell, UFT, Selenium and any Performance testing tool required.
Designs and implements robust, scalable, high quality Test Automation Suites within a Continuous Integration and Deployment environment to improve quality and productivity of functional, regression, and system tests.
Participates in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents; interacts with Management, leads, and other global team members in a one-to-one or one-to-many meeting format.
Analyze test results, and identify, document, and report root causes for test failures by working with the development team and the defect tracking system.
Drive continuous improvement through development and implementation of best practices and processes

Provide work estimates and conduct design, implementation, and code reviews.
Develop and execute plans for incremental and interactive project delivery.
Work with test team to ensure adequate and appropriate test case coverage; investigate and fix bugs
Should be ready to code, create coding standards and ensure code quality
Awareness of cybersecurity standards and practices while solutioning is a must have
Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering /Information Technology/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution required.
Preferred - Master s Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering from an accredited institution.

10+ years of experience in Software/firmware quality assurance
6+ years of experience with Java, C# programming, Python, Powershell or other scripting languages.
6+ years of experience in automation framework development or maintenance preferably in Selenium
3+ years of experience in API testing.
2+ years of experience in Performance testing
2+ years of experience in SQL Queries
2+ years of experience in Cloud based technologies with Azure.

Proven experience with test plan development, automated testing, and continuous integration
Proven experience with designing automation framework
Expertise with creating and defining test plans , test cases and analyzing test results.
Expertise in using test management tools and creating dashboards
Good debugging skills.
Good understanding of testing process and terminologies.
Good to have experience in CI/CD Jenkins or Bamboo etc, PowerShell, Batch.
Should be open to work on any tools, technology, projects as per business needs.
Should be able to work individually or as a team player as per project needs.
Must have proven track record of validating high quality products.
Experience working using Agile, SAFe, and Scrum practices for development lifecycle.
Proficient in Data Driven testing approaches
Experience in applying TDD / BDD
Experience in Performance testing tools - Gatling, JMeter
Understanding of relational database design and testing against SQL Server.
Worked on defining and implementing System Automation Test Framework for any projects.
Proficient understanding of Source Control software and Code Collaboration tools (Git, SVN, etc. ); experience with Issue and Project Tracking software (Azure DevOps, JIRA, TFS, etc. ).
Experience with system level testing.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts.
Strong problem solving and reasoning ability, exhibiting technical innovation and creative solutions.
Abreast of upcoming software development/engineering tools, trends, and methodologies.
Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills.
