Job Description
- Manage a comprehensive database of mutual fund in India
- Build upon database for the insurance, pension, AIF and PMS segments
- Enhance and improve the database with additional data and features
- Work with technology partners to meet data feed requirements for internal and external stakeholders
- Work with the team to deliver reports, factsheets and regulatory reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Complete ad hoc requests, knowledge building and business development projects as necessary
- Manage and/ or work with an expanded team of analysts while working on multiple projects.
- Conduct regular workflow meetings with the in - house, Interacting with clients and internal stake holders.
- Foster a cohesive, creative, and comfortable working environment, mediating any personal issue within the team.
- Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of team members providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.
- Working with the team to turn around these templatized outputs in clockwork precision.
- Understand client requirements and design solution in consultation with internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with technology for implementation of solutions for clients
- Identify areas for process improvement and work with various internal team for implementation.
- Communicate with customers and meet their various needs.
- Engage with client and manage on going services.
- Plan and allocate work in the team and guide team to meet delivery expectation.
- Provide regular and constructive feedback to the team.
- Set clear goals and guide the team.
- Support teams development and growth.
- Conduct periodic and formal evaluations.
- Implement improvement plans and actions.
- Use a quality control and assurance checklist.
Required Experience And Skills:
- MBA or post graduate degree in finance or similar analytical fields.
- Knowledge of capital markets (especially mutual funds) fundamentals, AMFI certification desirable
- Must have at least 8 - 9 years of experience in managing a team size of 10 to 12
- Strong quantitative skills, an analytical & Logical mindset, and an ability to work with significant amounts of data, both numerical and qualitative
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative factsheets, scheme notes and fund notes.
- Ability to take decisions while working with unstructured and limited information.
- Prior experience in mutual funds industry and database management
- Sound knowledge of global capital markets or secondary markets products preferred.
- A strong degree of independence and self-motivation
- Responsible attitude and ability to complete tasks proactively and in a timely manner (both for self and the team)
- Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
- Excellent working skills with MS office tools, especially good at advanced Excel and Power Point
- Understanding of coding, macros, python and other automation software desirable
- Mentor and train new data analysts
