Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced PGT Sociology Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Sociology lessons for senior secondary students (Grades 11 & 12).
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials in accordance with the CBSE/ICSE/State Board curriculum.
• Use innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student understanding.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Maintain discipline and ensure a positive learning environment in the classroom.
• Encourage critical thinking, discussions, and debates to deepen student understanding of sociological concepts.
• Participate in school activities, faculty meetings, and professional development programs.
• Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and school management to support student success.

Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Masters degree in Sociology.
• Professional Qualification: B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience as a Sociology teacher
• Skills Required:
• Strong subject knowledge and teaching abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective classroom management and discipline maintenance.
• Proficiency in using technology for teaching and learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in teaching Sociology for CBSE curriculum.
• Ability to mentor and guide students for academic excellence.
