As a Computer Science Subject Matter Expert with Qcode, you will work on an exciting opportunity to build products. QCode is focused on providing education software to help computer science teachers and high school students. In this role, you will work with our team to build, review, and evaluate a computer science curriculum designed to enhance efficiency for the community of teachers and middle /high school students. Your subject matter expertise, in depth knowledge of curriculum across various school districts, writing and coding skills, motivation for learning, and passion for education will drive the success of our new program.

Responsibilities may include:

• Collaborating with instructional designers, and software engineers to bring your work to life.
• Developing course content, including pre-work learning assets, reinforcement activities and assessment that meets and exceeds current standards.
• Brainstorming new and innovative ideas to improve student outcomes.
• Articulating learning objectives and designing assessment strategies that will align with student success.
• Collaborating with customers to identify objectives, create innovative learning experiences, and design effective assessments.
• Reviewing and revising existing content to make sure we build curriculum that is of the highest quality.
• Working with a larger team of your peers to evaluate and review content and ensure the best implementation of the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Education. Master s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in classroom teaching in 6-12, College, or University level
• Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills
• A high attention to detail and passion to change the status quo
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Experience writing content for online programs or standardized tests a plus
• A strong understanding of College Board or other curriculum is also needed.

Education

• Bachelors (Preferred)

Experience

• Classroom teaching in 6-12, College, or University level: 10 years (Preferred)
• Writing content for online programs or standardized tests: 10 years (Preferred)
• College Board or other curriculum: 8 years (Preferred)
