Credit Analyst - German/French

Job Title: Senior Credit Analyst

Department: GAC

Location: Pune

Role: This position will support the S&P Global’s Ratings team and will be a part

of the GAC Analytical team.

Ø Functional Responsibility / Domain Related

• Support Global Credit Analyst(s) for monitoring and tracking the performance of a portfolio of credits, and responding to credit events.
• Track and understand International Public Finance (IPF) sector dynamics and regulatory trends, including but not limited to:

• Understanding of various sectors, asset classes within the IPF
• Analysis of macroeconomic parameters impacting the sector
• Impact of regulatory and legal framework
• Abreast with the latest happenings across IPF sectors
• Revenue & expenditure mix and factors affecting it

• Track operational performance, which includes evaluation of:

• Economic fundamentals
• Competitive position
• Strategy / execution / management
• Profitability / peer comparisons

• Track financial performance, which includes evaluation of:

• Accounting
• Financial governance and policies
• Financial ratios and trends
• Liquidity / short-term factors
• Off balance sheet debt such as pension

• Work on financial models
• Prepare internal credit notes

Ø Process Adherence

• Follow defined processes in execution of assignments
• Ensure that new knowledge gained is retained and documented through operating manuals
• Strictly practice and follow all Compliance, Confidentiality, and Information Security Policies, Procedures and Guidelines of the Organization.

Ø Client Management / Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain relationships with international clients

Ø Education Qualification- Two years full-time MBA (Finance) or equivalent OR CA OR Bachelor/Master in Economics

Ø Experience - 2 – 5 years of relevant experience in credit analysis or credit research in global markets

Ø Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills (knowledge of French language is preferred)
• Understanding of accounting and financial analysis and concepts
