Creant Technologies - Liferay Developer - Java/JSP (3-4 yrs)

Role :

As a Liferay Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Liferay-based web applications and portals.

You will work closely with designers, business analysts, and other developers to deliver high-quality and user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop custom Liferay portlets using Java, JSP, and related technologies.

- Customize Liferay themes, layouts, and templates to meet specific design requirements.

- Integrate Liferay with external systems and APIs.

- Develop and maintain Liferay hooks and extensions.

- Troubleshoot and debug Liferay-related issues.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.

- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.

- Conduct unit testing and integration testing of Liferay applications.

- Stay updated on the latest Liferay releases, features, and best practices.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (designers, developers, project managers) to achieve project goals.

Required Skills :

- Strong proficiency in Java : Extensive experience with Java programming language, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.

- Liferay Development : In-depth knowledge of Liferay DXP, including portlet development, service builder, themes, layouts, and hooks.

- Web Technologies : Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related front-end technologies.

- Database : Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).

- Version Control : Proficiency in Git and experience with Git workflows (e.g, branching, merging, pull requests).

- Communication & Collaboration : Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

- Problem-solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Spring Framework.

- Experience with RESTful web services and APIs.

- Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g, React, Angular, Vue.js).

- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g, AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g, Scrum, Kanban)
