Role Description :

This is a full-time hybrid Liferay Developer role at engineersmind, located in Bengaluru.

This position offers some flexibility for remote work.

As a Liferay Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and customizing Liferay-based applications and portals, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain Liferay-based applications and portals, including portlets, themes, layouts, and hooks.

- Customize Liferay portal functionalities to meet specific business requirements.

- Integrate Liferay with third-party systems and applications using various integration methods (APIs, web services).

- Implement and maintain Liferay security configurations and access controls.

- Optimize Liferay performance and scalability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve Liferay-related issues.

- Collaborate with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Stay up to date with the latest Liferay features and technologies.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

- Document technical designs and implementations.

Technical Skills & Qualifications :

- Deep understanding of Liferay architecture, APIs, and development tools.

- Experience with Liferay versions [ DXP, CE].

- Strong Java and J2EE development skills, including experience with servlets, JSPs, and related technologies.

- Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks (jQuery, React, Angular).

- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and SQL.

- Proficiency in integrating Liferay with third-party systems using various methods (RESTful APIs, SOAP web services).

- Experience in developing and deploying Liferay portlets.

- Ability to create and customize Liferay themes and layouts.

- Experience in developing and deploying Liferay hooks.

- Familiarity with the OSGi framework and its use in Liferay.

- Experience with version control systems (Git).

- Experience with build tools (Maven, Gradle).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Liferay DXP.

- Knowledge of other portal technologies.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

- Master's degree in computer science or a related field
