Staff, Back-end Engineer [DNA-Engineering]

The DNA (Data & Accounting) Engineering team develops a system to collect and process various events occurring in Coupang's various business domains, such as orders, receipts, orders, deliveries, and returns, to create complete and consistent accounting data such as sales and inventory, and to perform settlement work based on this. The DNA engineering team aims to provide accounting data that must change along with rapidly changing businesses in a timely manner, automate accounting processing tasks, and provide all the tools necessary to detect and correct errors in accounting data, as well as an environment for analyzing and utilizing data.

Job Description

• Design, develop and operate a platform for collecting, processing and analyzing accounting data.
• Development of web front-end and back-end systems for accounting and settlement work
• Development of real-time/batch data processing pipeline for accounting data processing
• Development of a data validation and reconciliation system
• Developing an automated data error correction process and monitoring dashboard

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field
• More than 10 years of experience in fundamental algorithm, system design, and service/application development
• More than 8 years of practical programming experience (Java, Kotlin, C++, C#, Scala, etc.)
• More than 3 years of experience designing and developing large-scale, high-availability distributed systems
• Experience in developing application back-end API/service based on Spring Framework and Relational/NoSQL DB
• Experience in designing and developing MSA based on Cloud (AWS, etc.) computing environment & Container (Docker, K8s, etc.)
• Experience in developing data/event processing systems based on distributed messaging systems (SQS/Kafka, etc.)
• Experience with caching/data processing using in-memory data grid (Redis, Ignite, etc.)

Preferential treatment

• Experience implementing accounting, settlement systems and reconciliation processes
• Experience in developing large-scale data ETL/processing based on big data processing infrastructure (Hive, Spark, etc.) and batch scheduler/orchestrator such as Airflow
• Experience with complex event processing/orchestration using workflow engines such as Temporal
• High level of understanding and experience using Web UI frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, etc.).
• Experience in data visualization using BI reporting tools such as Tableau
• Experience in building large-capacity/high-performance data marts and developing analysis environments/platforms
• Experience in building a large-scale headless test automation system and linking it with a CI/CD system
