Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented End-to-End Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a CA Inter qualification, 3 years of experience as an articled assistant, and 2 years of hands-on corporate accounting experience. As an End-to-End Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire accounting cycle, from bookkeeping to financial reporting, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping and Journal Entries:
- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including journal entries, ledgers, and general accounting functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Review financial reports for accuracy and provide detailed analysis to the management team.
- Taxation and Compliance:
- Assist in the preparation of GST returns and other indirect taxes.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing deadlines.
- Support the preparation of income tax returns, tax audits, and related documentation.
- Bank Reconciliation and Cash Flow Management:
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure cash flow management aligns with the companys requirements.
- Oversee and manage petty cash transactions.
- Internal Controls and Process Improvement:
- Assist in maintaining effective internal controls and standard operating procedures.
- Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and recommend solutions.
- Audit and Financial Year-End Activities:
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide all necessary documentation.
- Support year-end closing activities and ensure smooth reporting.
- Costing and Budgeting:
- Assist in cost analysis and budgeting exercises.
- Provide financial insights to help in cost optimization and efficient resource allocation.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide variance analysis on budgets vs actuals.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and other stakeholders.
Preferred candidate profile
- CA Inter qualification
- Minimum 3 years of articleship experience
- Minimum 2 years of corporate accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with a diverse set of industries or multinational corporations is a plus.
- Knowledge of Indian taxation laws and corporate regulations.
- Exposure to ERP systems.
