Pet Groomer/Pet Stylist

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pet grooming services to clients, including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail care.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a comfortable environment for pets.
• Develop strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service and building trust through consistent results.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in pet grooming to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve business goals and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
• Clean and freshen pet hair by washing, shampooing, and conditioning it
• Shave, trim, and style pet hair according to the owner s preferences
• Maintain overall pet hygiene by clipping nails, brushing teeth, and cleaning ears
• Maintain a clean workstation by sanitizing and sweeping before the arrival of every client and at the end of every workday
• Advise owners on at-home care tips and best practices for their pets
• Professional certification/ Certificate in Grooming Experience in pet grooming Experience in customer service
• Experience with animals in a professional capacity
• Demonstrated passion for animals Sound understanding of animal behaviour
• Ability to work comfortably with animals, including anxious ones
• Ability to stand for at least two hours and to lift heavy pets
• Willingness to learn new skills and techniques
• Well-developed verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Exceptional customer service skills
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 1-4 years of experience as a Pet Groomer/Pet Stylist or related field.
  
• Strong understanding of various breeds' coat types, textures, colors, and grooming requirements.
  
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
