Role & responsibilities

Core Pharmacy Duties:

* Accurately dispense medications as prescribed by veterinarians.

* Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.

* Provide clear medication instructions to pet owners.

* Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications.

* Manage medication and pharmacy supply inventory levels.

* Place timely orders to ensure adequate stock

* Monitor expiration dates and rotate stock to minimizes waste.

* Adhere to all relevant pharmacy regulations and guidelines.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date pharmacy records.

* Participate in ongoing professional development.

Billing and Retail Duties:

* Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately.

* Handle cash and credit card payments.

* Generate accurate invoices and receipts.

* Manage and reconcile dally sales reports

* Manage inventory levels of retail products

* Assist customers in selecting appropriate products.

* Maintain a clean and organized retail area.

* Participate in promotions and marketing initiatives.

Customer Service and Education:

* Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and resolving issues.

* Build strong relationships with customers and foster a positive shopping experience.

* Educate customers on proper pet care practices, including medication administration and product usage.

* Conduct educational workshops and seminars on pet health topics.

* Promote Zigly's services and products through effective communication and engagement.

Operational Duties:

* Adhere to centre opening and closing procedures.

* Complete daily checklists and reports.

* Schedule appointments for grooming and consultations.

* Coordinate with grooming and veterinary staff.

* Confirm appointments and send reminders to customers.

* Handle cancellations and rescheduling.

Ownership and Accountability:

* Take ownership of pharmacy operations and ensure smooth functioning.

* Proactively identity and resolve issues to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

* Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the customer experience and drive business growth.

* Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve common goals.

* Stay updated on industry trends and implement best practices.
