1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for the transportation department to meet organizational objectives.

2.Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of transportation professionals and drivers.

3. Operational Efficiency: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the transportation department, ensuring efficient and timely movement of vehicles/trips resulting in no-delays. Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.

4. Vendor Management: Collaborate with transportation service providers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure high-quality and cost-effective services.

5. Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation operations.
• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and most importantly ensure the safety of the employees/passengers travelling

6. Performance Metrics:

• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve transportation performance.
• Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Preferred candidate profile

A seasoned professional with more than 10 years of experience in the transport operations field. Must have experience working in IT Employee Transportation and Luxury transport sector; Handling transport supervisors , cluster heads, site incharges etc and must know how to handle escalations pertaining to operations.
