Education: Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, CFA or equivalent are highly desirable.
Experience: Minimum of 12 - 15 years of progressive financial experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the pharmaceutical industry. Proven experience in multinational companies, managing complex financial operations across different countries.
Age : Around 40 - 45 years
Skills: Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP international accounting standards (IFRS).
Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems such as SAP, Tally etc.
Fluency in English; additional European language skills like Hungarian, French, German, Romansh, Slovene , Italian etc. are a big plus.

It is a leading MNC company, specialized in the development, manufacturing and sales of botanical derivatives for the pharmaceutical, dietary supplement, cosmetic, and food industries. We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations in India.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, providing strategic financial guidance and contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the company. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry and a proven track record in multinational corporate finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's business objectives. Advise the CEO and Board of Directors on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, and policy matters. Reporting to Director and indirectly to group CFO at abroad.
Strategic Financial Planning:
- Financial Planning & Cash Flow Management, monthly Treasury Report, calendar year and financial year financials, half yearly and quarterly financials, Annual report and filings.
- Calendar year & Financial year Product costing and analysis, transfer pricing, product pricing, inventory valuations.
- Budgeting and variance analysis for calendar year and financial year, lead budgeting, forecasting processes. Ensure that financial activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Supervise the preparation and distribution of financial statements. Ensure timely communication of key financial information to stakeholders and manage relationships with auditors.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes to align with business growth and changing market conditions. Strengthen internal controls to mitigate risks.
Audit Oversight:
- Lead statutory audit and cost audit requirements to ensure compliance with company policies and effective management of inventory and fixed assets, supervise the audit process so that accounts are presented to the Management and the Board in a timely and orderly manner, maintain relations with auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.
IT Strategy Implementation:
- Create IT strategies that support business objectives, ensuring robust systems are in place for seamless operations and driving automation initiatives. Effective management of company's overall Information Technology requirements, Implementation of FAM software.
- Review and monitor improvement & standardization of the ERP and MIS system through IT within the Company
Team Leadership:
- Guide the Finance and IT teams, promoting professional development and participating in executive-level decision-making.
- Act as the Company's main resource of expertise on financial management & control.
Financial Management and Reporting: Oversee all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
- Monthly accounts closing activities and accurate reporting, monthly management reports, budget vs actual report with variance analysis.
- Manage external consultants such as GST, customs / export incentives, etc. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to financial activities, including tax obligations, like GST, Income Tax, TDS et. FEMA, RBI, Banking regulations, accounting standards, Compliance with ROC and MCA requirements and company secretary requirements.
- Inventory accounting, fixed assets accounting, depreciations, physical verifications variance analysis. General ledger reconciliation and corrective actions, cost control activities.
- Oversee the issuance of financial information, personally, review and approve all filings with the ROC, regulatory agencies, income-tax and GST etc.
- Manage the Superannuation and Gratuity trust accounting and regulatory compliances.
- Handling project & operational insurance, negotiating with the insurance providing company for widest coverage at the optimum premium, including settlement of claims.
- Act as the Company's main resource of expertise on financial management & control, core member for tax planning in the Company, may be Direct Tax or Indirect Taxes.
- To ensure efficient funds management including dealing with holding company, Banks, Financial institutions, managing working capital, long term funds, management of receivable and payables. Vendors and other payments processing based on credit periods. Export collections, import payments, EDPMS and IDPMS reconciliation and compliances, A2 payments etc.
- Provide information and advice & recommendations on financial management, financial control and procedures, and information systems, to the Board, Directors and Management to ensure that the Company's mission and financial objectives are met.
- Keep up to date with any developments in financial management and Regulatory Laws which might affect and how the company's finances are managed, or its statutory obligations are to be met.
- Direct and control Finance & Accounts staff to ensure that they are motivated and trained and carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
- Oversee the preparation of the Company's financial accounts and day to day control of all account systems to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time.
- Recommend any changes in resources like Manpower, hardware, training etc. whenever necessary to ensure continual improvement in the Department and facilitate optimum performance.
- To provide all necessary MIS and Financial reports to the Management and the Board and work in conjunction with the Company Secretary.
Risk Management and Compliance: Identify financial risks, ensuring robust internal controls. Ensure compliance with international financial regulations and tax laws. Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile and manage monthly risk register, construct and monitor reliable control systems. Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
Investor Relations and Funding: Manage relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions. Oversee capital structure and fundraising initiatives.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Foster collaboration across departments to achieve financial transparency and efficiency.
