QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE/EXPOSURE:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or a related field, Masters or Any certification in Contract Management is a value addition OR NICMAR
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of legal, financial, and operational aspects of contract law
- Experience with high-value, complex contracts.
- Demonstrable evidence of successfully securing contractual claims
- Clients exposure needs to be PSU.
- Prior work exp. in companies viz. L&T, Gammon, SP or Afcons or NCC or MEIL etc. would be advantageous.
- Age group below 40 - 42 (Exceptions for strong & relevant profiles)
- Arbitration successes including demonstration of what's achieved?

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and provide effective solutions.
- Experience with contract management software and systems for prospective implementation (document management systems).
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage projects in a fast-paced environment and adverse scenarios.
- Exposure to FIDIC, ICA and understanding.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
- Provide strategic oversight for key contract negotiations, amendments, and renewals.
- Develop and implement the contract management strategy to support organizational goals and objectives.
- Manage the existing contracts with PSU's at all levels including for forums such as dispute resolution.
Contract Creation, Negotiation, and Execution:
- Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, ensuring that all legal and commercial terms meet the organization's interests and objectives.
- Collaborate with legal, procurement, finance, and operational teams to negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions.
- On major contracts, to provide complete assistance to subcontracts team and consequent contracts management including for contract closure.
Compliance, Risk and Claim Management:
- Monitor and enforce adherence to contract terms, ensuring compliance by all parties.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with contracts, including financial, legal, and operational risks.
- Identify deviations / variations against contract and to protect the contractual right of company.
- Exposure to arbitration proceedings and experience in dealing / briefing counsels
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Establish metrics and performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of contract management processes and outcomes.
- Regularly report on the status of contracts, performance, and compliance to senior management and other key stakeholders.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for Senior leadership and key internal departments on all contract-related matters.
- Collaborate with various business units (operations, finance, legal, Procurement, etc.) to ensure contracts align with operational needs and strategic objectives.
Contract Administration & Documentation:
- Oversee the development and maintenance of a centralized contract repository to ensure that all contracts and related documents are stored securely and are easily accessible.
- Ensure proper version control and document management practices are followed across all contracts.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in contract law and compliance.
- Ensure all contracts are compliant with legal and regulatory standards.
