Brief On the role:
- This will be an individual contribution role.
- Candidate will be a part of the CAT Modelling team
- Good understanding of accumulations analysis .
- An analytical mindset to investigate loss movements.
- Experience in portfolio rollup.
- Knowledge of Insurance and Cat Modelling
- Knowledge of RMS RiskLink and AIR - Touchstone
- Good working knowledge of MS-Office Word, Excel and Access
- Good working knowledge of SQL
- Excellent communication skills
- Good understanding of Cat Modelling process and workflow.
- Run vendor catastrophe modelling platforms (primarily RMS, AIR, Elements) for insureds and perform portfolio risk analyses.
- Working knowledge of RMS model scope across worldwide peril-regions regarding sub- perils, amplification, etc. along with basic understanding of cat-modelling four-box principle
concerning exposure, hazard, vulnerability modules and translation of insurance and (re)insurance financial terms through coding in RMS and SQL.
- Assist clients in the understanding of catastrophe risk of individuals insured through sensitivity studies and other analytics based on vendor catastrophe model results.
- Provide analytical support to catastrophe modelling team operations by sharing knowledge and information
- Use technical expertise to resolve catastrophe modelling and risk issues to ensure business requirements are met
- Provide assistance on complex projects by collaborating with peers
- Develop processes and scripts for process improvements
- Responsible for work allocation
- Provide timely and frequent feedback to team members.
- Preparing MIS reports
- Training and mentoring of team members inducted in the pricing process.
- Assisting in monthly post bind and portfolio rollup activities.
- Ensure all SLAs are met
- Communication with onshore SPOCs at regular intervals.
