Identity and Access Management Engineer - LDAP/Active Directory (5-8 yrs)

Job Summary :

The Identity and Access Management Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the IAM systems within an organization. This role involves ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to specific systems, applications, and data by managing user identities, permissions, and access rights.

The specialist will work closely with IT and security teams to develop and enforce policies and procedures that protect the organization's information assets.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain IAM policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

- Implement and manage IAM solutions and tools for user provisioning, de-provisioning, authentication, authorization, and reporting.

- Collaborate with IT and business units to understand their access needs and translate them into technical requirements.

- Perform user account lifecycle management, including creation, modification, and deletion of user accounts and access rights.

- Monitor and audit access controls to identify and mitigate potential security breaches or policy violations.

- Provide support for IAM-related issues, including troubleshooting and resolving access problems for end-users.

- Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure effective implementation and integration of IAM products and services.

- Conduct regular reviews and updates of IAM roles and permissions to align with changing business needs.

- Train and educate staff on IAM policies and best practices to promote security awareness.

- Participate in the evaluation and selection of IAM technologies and products.

- Proven experience in IAM, IT security, or a related field.

- Strong understanding of IAM principles, technologies, and frameworks (e.g., SSO,LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).

- Experience with IAM tools and platforms such as Okta, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, SailPoint, or similar.

- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards related to access control (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with team members and stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
