AWS Full Stack Engineer/Consultant Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will:

• Extensive experience working with various AWS products (EKS, EC2, S3, Aurora, networking etc). to design and implement infrastructure solution either hybrid or on cloud. Experience of GCP an advantage
• Ability to create the security control document in compliance with HSBC FIM guidelines to enable public cloud products in the bank.
• Ability to do the proof of concept for the public cloud product usage in the bank and write technical deployment pattern for the same.
• Build training module for the AWS products to be used to upskills project team.
• Provide technical consultancy to application team from design phase to go-live of the application.
• Conduct knowledge sharing sessions within and wider teams.
• Ability to configure different proxy (NGINX, ENVOY etc) for network connectivity between networks.
• Strong Python, Golang (or similar) knowledge, CI/CD experience and working in an Agile manner.
• Strong understanding of security compliance requirement of using AWS Cloud products in the bank.
• Lead by example and build collaborative, open, trust based, performance oriented relationships across HSBC. Use data to drive our approach.
• Act as escalation point for all cloud issues teams are unable to resolve.
• Ability to identify the cost reduction oppurtunities in cloud implementation.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure in general including Operating System, Clustering, Storage, network
• Proven problem solver (technical and non-technical) who can lead from the front when required. Able to take a hands on/off view when managing problems.
• Comfortable working alone on complex technical issues but also as part of a larger technical team.
• Have an automation/change mentality and strive for constant improvements via automated processes.
• Design and deliver necessary automation & tooling to ensure all infrastructure and platform provisioning processes are fully automated.
• Work closely with the architecture team to ensure cloud first principles and best practices are adhered to.
• Work closely with the Security teams to ensure all designs & deployments are globally secure and aligned to the group standards.
