Construction Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Ensure safety standards of the site are adhered to by the electrical works subcontractors when work is underway and regulations relating to health, safety and the environment (HSE) are adhered to.
• Oversee and direct project site LV, MV, HV, communications and controls activities in a manner that delivers the project within safety, cost and time targets set by the Project Manager.
• Ensure that the mechanical sub-contractors meet the contractual conditions of performance as per the scope of work and timeline.
• Develop an activity plan with appropriate sequencing to ensure the electrical and communications aspects of the project are built and commissioned within the contractual COD date.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure project timelines are not compromised.
• Ensure subcontractors and site staff operate in compliance with local construction and safety regulations.
• Review the work progress on daily basis and publish progress reports as per the project reporting requirements and publish the required routine reports on time.
• Track, manage and process all variations in accordance with company policy and within budgetary constraints.
• Manages, expedites, and supports consultants and contractor document submittals, budgets, and schedules maintains and fosters contacts with consultants, contractors, vendors, and material suppliers
• Ensures that the electrical portion of the estimated Balance of Plant cost is optimized by providing accurate project layouts and bills of material take-offs with constructability and operability needs
• Coordinates project construction with Project Managers and Site Construction Managers to resolve critical and time-sensitive construction-related electrical issues
• Leads or assists with investigations of electrical-related issues, including root cause analysis as needed.

Job-related Skills :

• Having minimum 7+ years Experience in Construction of Solar projects over 50MW.
• Applicants must demonstrate a high level of problem-solving ability and initiative.
• Attention to detail, reliability and good organizational skills are paramount
• Must possess effective communication skills and man management skills
