Job Description

Role: Sr. Manager Business Development-Middle East (Fintech)

Market Experience: GCC, North Africa, and SE Asia regions.

Location: Gurgaon.

- From IIMs (Lucknow, Indore, Kozhikode, Shillong, Ranchi).

- Willing to travel to the Middle East Region.

The company is a great venture striving to provide financial access to the two billion underbanked people in emerging markets across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The company transforms alternate customer data into financial identity using machine learning to predict their financial behavior, thus enabling the financial institution to design financial products for them.

The company is part of a large software company in India.

About the Role:

The Company's senior manager business development position is critical to our continued growth outside Africa. You will play a pivotal role in understanding our client's business needs, crafting compelling solutions through our industry-leading lending suite, and driving successful sales cycles. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a solution-oriented mindset. The role will report to the Head of growth, MENA markets, and may include travel to the Middle East for account management, business development, and solution development activities.

Key Requirements:

- 2-4 years of experience in a solution or pre-sales role, preferably in financial services.

- Proven ability to understand client pain points and translate them into actionable solutions.

- Domain knowledge of credit scoring, alternative data, lending processes, and payments.

- Experience in Lending project implementations and Go-live will be an advantage.

- Excellent presentation and documentation skills to create relevant collaterals are a must.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.

- Experience in participating in Product RFPs - technical response, user journeys, call flows, project plans, commercials, bid defense, demos, and contracting.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Advantageous to have:

- Prior business consulting experience.

- Experience in dealing with customers in the GCC and North Africa regions.

- Fintech experience in India or similar markets in SE Asia or the Middle East.

- Open banking experience.

What You'll Do:

- Identify prospects - Conduct detailed secondary research, and collaborate with the sales team and on-ground support teams to identify and qualify potential clients and partners.

- Carry out in-depth needs assessments to understand client challenges and objectives, and develop relevant solutions for the closure of the sales cycle.

- Map client workflows to Company functionalities through call flow diagrams, and user journeys, ensuring a seamless user experience.

- Create compelling presentations and proposals that showcase the value proposition of the Company.

- Conduct product demos, training, and knowledge transfer sessions for new clients.

- Respond to client Requests for Proposals (RFPs) by collaborating with technical and sales teams to understand requirements and develop comprehensive proposals.

- Participate in Bid Defence presentations alongside sales and technical teams, effectively addressing client questions and concerns.

- Develop a business case with valid assumptions and create commercial proposals.

- Collaborate with Legal and Business Finance teams towards Contract and MOU closures.
