NVMe SSD Product Engineer - Validation Testing (3-15 yrs)

About the Job :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Product Engineer specializing in NVMe SSDs.

In this role, you will be pivotal in both the product development process and the high-volume manufacturing (HVM) of solid-state drives (SSDs).

You will leverage your technical expertise to design and implement robust validation testing strategies, ensuring that our SSD products meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities :

Product Development & Manufacturing Support :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the development of SSD products from conception to production.

- Provide ongoing support to high-volume manufacturing processes, ensuring seamless integration of new products.

Test Strategy Design :

- Develop comprehensive testing strategies that prioritize high quality and cost efficiency.

- Implement innovative test methodologies to ensure thorough validation of SSD performance and reliability.

Failure Analysis Support :

- Engage in SSD failure analysis throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) and HVM stages.

- Conduct in-depth investigations into manufacturing defects and product failures, providing actionable insights for improvement.

Manufacturing Yield Evaluation :

- Analyze manufacturing yields and identify trends through data evaluation.

- Propose solutions aimed at enhancing yield rates and reducing waste during production.

Electrical and Hardware Analysis :

- Perform electrical, hardware, and physical failure analyses to diagnose SSD-related issues.

- Collaborate with various departments to address and resolve problems effectively.

System Architecture Understanding :

- Gain a deep understanding of system architecture to develop new test screens.

- Focus on identifying early life failures in SSD media, facilitating prompt detection and resolution.

Yield and Quality Improvement :

- Strive to enhance product yield and quality while reducing testing time across different stages of the engineering program.

- Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on data-driven insights.

Troubleshooting and Customer Support :

- Troubleshoot issues arising from customer returns and complaints.

- Develop effective solutions to rectify problems and improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements :

Educational Background :

- Mater's/Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field.

Experience :

- 3 to 15 years of relevant experience in the SSD or product engineering industry, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in computer hardware.

- Familiarity with storage interfaces such as SATA and NVMe is highly desirable.

Technical Expertise :

- Solid knowledge and experience in NAND component testing and failure analysis.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, and Perl, which will be essential for developing testing scripts and automating processes.

Analytical Skills :

- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset, capable of interpreting complex data sets to derive meaningful conclusions.

Team Collaboration :

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
