Engineering Manager - Lending and Leasing

Job Title : Engineering Manager Location: Bangalore Business & Team: Institutional Banking & Markets at Commonwealth Bank of Australia we build software applications and manage software systems of various sizes to deliver high quality financial solutions. Technical deliveries in the various teams include working with popular technology tools for both on-prem as we'll as Cloud based software. Impact & Contribution: The technology group is made up of small vertical teams that delivers product-based software solutions and horizontal teams that work across the numerous teams to ensure that we uplift the learnings, use best practices and enrich our overall knowledge base. Roles & Responsibilities: We are looking for an Engineering Manager who :

• Is enthusiastic to take up the challenge and deliver.
• Can work with teams to design and improve the CI/CD delivery process to ensure that the software being delivered is tested for quality, security vulnerabilities, code styles and functionality.
• Is eager to learn the software development landscape withing the technology group.
• Is we'll versed in Cloud tools and practices.
• Is highly experienced in Object Oriented Programming languages
• Has experience in both cloud and on-prem CI/CD delivery tools.
• Has experience managing support teams and rosters

Essential Skills:

• Minimum 14 years of experience
• Background in building and deploying C# or Java, JavaScript and Python based apps.
• Experience in AWS cloud technologies, including building infrastructure using CloudFormation, CDK, etc
• Thorough understanding of OS and shell scripts including bash, PowerShell, etc
• Experience in CI/CD tools such as GitHub, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline etc
• Understanding of RDBMS systems.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Ansible, AWS Cloudformation or similar.
• Experience with containerization technologies (eg Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration frameworks like Amazon ECS, EKS or similar
• Good understanding of networking principles, security best practices and data protection
• Proven experience in designing, implementing and managing highly available, scalable and fault tolerant architectures

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor s degree/Master s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
