Duties and Responsibilities

(these are the positions essential duties and is not an all inclusive list)

Main areas of responsibilities are:

• Plan project technical activities and staffing (times, costs).
• Coordinate internal/external technical activities and persons involved in the project.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and application of company standards (products, processes, regulations, etc.) and identify opportunities for standardization.
• Interfaces with customer to finalize design requirements, reviews and approvals throughout design phase.
• Estimate the costs of technical solution and resources for pricing of customer request for design variants.
• Definition of Technical solution and validation, process validation, solution homogeneity.
• Guarantee achievement of objectives in terms of time, quality, costs, deliverables. Track and submit reports of the project progress.
• Contribution to engineering project risk assessment.
• Provide technical support in the assembly, installation (equipment) and prototyping (product) phases and technical assistance at the customer site.
• Support the Site Manager for resources coordination in manufacturing/integration/commissioning.
• Identify possible areas of improvement in internal processes and lead/participate in improvement activities.
• Manages all the above activities complying with the company processes and quality assurance procedures.

• Customer Service: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Writing: Ability to write technical documents and reports for use as reference by engineering and technical writers as well as documentation for the project.
• Reading: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer specifications, electrical controls schematics, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Training: Ability to train and mentor other System Engineers in mechanical and controls area.
• Systems Analysis: Determining how a system or process should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
• Systems Evaluation: Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
• Performing Administrative Activities: Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
• Troubleshooting: Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
• Equipment Selection Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
• Operations Analysis Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design.
• Drafting, Laying Out, and Specifying Technical Devices, Parts, and Equipment Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
• Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material — Inspecting (field check) equipment in preparation for adding, removing, or modifying existing designs / equipment.
• Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards — Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
