Job Description
Responsible for originating and producing stories,filming, editing and producing a range of video, audio and digital content forBBC audiences for website, social platforms, TV and podcast to the highestprofessional standards
Required to work with editorial and planning teams
Required to work with editorial and planning teams
Required to film and edit material for broadcast whereappropriate, including long and short form programming, outside broadcasts,online, newsgathering in the field, live or recorded, often edited in thefield, to feed material back to base, utilising the latest technology
May be required to travel at short notice, thereforeflexibility is essential
Relevant craft skills (camera work, lighting editing) areessential, together with excellent digital journalism knowledge
Must be able to operate current broadcast technicalequipment on location and at base, demonstrating a well-developed sense ofvisual awareness and a willingness to learn how to use new technology and kit
Broad understanding of the target audience is important
Proficiency in written Hindi and a basic understanding ofEnglish is required while good knowledge of Bengali will also be useful
Seek ways to increase diversity in our workforce and toensure that our output reflects the audiences we serve
Deliver journalism of the highest standard and within therequired timeframe using available resources
Delivering to tight deadlines while maintaining thehighest editorial standards
At all times to carry out duties in accordance with thecompany\u2019s health and safety policy

Essential:
High standard of editorial judgment, writing ability andproduction skills based on substantial broadcast journalism experience
Maximizes opportunities offered by existing and emergingtechnologies to their fullest extent
Ability to work effectively as a member of more than oneteam

Ability to manage resources, staff, technical facilitiesand budgets, in order to make challenging broadcasting in the mostcost-effective manner

Prioritises and plans activities taking into account allthe relevant issues and factors such as deadlines, staffing and resources
Flexibility and adaptability to sustain performance,particularly under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities andcircumstances
