What you'll be doing

As an Engineering Manager at CoinCROWD, you'll play a dual role-leader and hands-on developer. You'll guide our talented engineering team while actively contributing to the codebase. We need someone who can balance technical leadership with mentorship, ensuring the team thrives while delivering top-notch technology solutions.

You will be responsible for :

- Leading and mentoring a team of engineers, helping them grow in their careers.

- Architecting and implementing backend services using Python and Node.js.

- Ensuring best coding practices, clean architecture, and scalable solutions.

- Creating and maintaining APIs that make frontend developers love you (or at least tolerate you).

- Conducting code reviews and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

- Optimizing database queries because performance isn't just a nice-to-have, it's a must-have.

- Debugging tricky issues with a mix of experience, intuition, and sheer determination.

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product development and innovation.

- Keeping up with industry trends and introducing cutting-edge technologies to the team.

- Occasionally reminding the team that "just one more deploy before the weekend" is a terrible idea.

What we need from you :

- We're looking for an experienced leader who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty in the codebase while empowering others to do their best work.

- This will be a Full time role

- May require occasional travel for conferences or team meetups (Yes, we love those!).

- Bonus points if you can debug a tricky issue while cracking a solid programming joke.

- Extra bonus points if you have a favorite "war story" about a production outage (and what you learned from it!).

- Location - WFH initially

What skills & experience you'll bring to us :

- Some experience with blockchain technologies is required, as we work in the crypto and Web3 space.

- 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.

- Strong experience with Python and Node.js (extra love for Django or FastAPI experience).

- Expertise in RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.

- Deep knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar).

- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services.

- Experience in performance optimization and scalable backend design.

- Strong people management skills with a track record of mentoring engineers.

- A deep understanding of agile development and modern DevOps practices.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to rally a team around a common goal.
