What you'll be doing

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems that support CoinCROWD's innovative products.

You will be responsible for :

- Designing and implementing backend services using Python and Django framework.

- Creating and maintaining APIs that make frontend developers love you (or at least tolerate you).

- Optimizing database queries because milliseconds matter.

- Writing unit tests to ensure things don't break (or at least not too often).

- Managing authentication and authorization logic because security is key (literally).

- Collaborating with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth product development.

- Debugging issues like a detective solving a mystery, but with more logs and fewer magnifying glasses.

- Keeping our infrastructure stable and performant (without sacrificing your sanity).

- Exploring new technologies and suggesting cool new ways to improve our backend architecture.

What we need from you :

We're looking for backend magicians (okay, fine-engineers) who are excited about building the future of crypto spending while having some fun along the way.

- This will be a Full time role

- May require occasional travel for conferences or team meetups (Yes, we love those!).

- Bonus points if you enjoy automating things to make your own job easier!

- Extra bonus points if you have a favorite Python joke. (Example: Why do Python programmers prefer dark mode? Because light attracts bugs! )

- Location - WFH initially

What skills & experience you'll bring to us :

- 3 to 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 2+ years in backend development.

- Proficiency in Python (extra love for Django or FastAPI experience).

- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.

- Strong knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar).

- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services.

- Experience with authentication protocols like OAuth and JWT.

- Solid debugging and problem-solving skills (a.k.a. knowing when to Google vs. when to actually fix things).

- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
