Mainframe ZOS System programmer

Z/OS Administrator:

Responsible for planning, installing and maintenance of z/OS software and related ISV software components. Responsible for problem management and problem determination of assigned software. Responsible for the z/OS platform management area.

Experience:

Z/OS Administrator with 8+ years of experience relevant experience:

Expert in z/OS operating systems architecture, design & implementation.

Extremely familiar with deployment of IBM z/OS operating system (OS 2.2, 2.3, 2.4) and hands on experience with SMP/E.

Expert skills in TSO/ISPF, REXX, z/OS and its subsystems are essential (base: z/OS Systems Engineering)

Knowledge on Parallel Sysplex concepts

Strong experience in zOS version upgrades

Installation of patches and fixes

Installation and maintenance of ISV products

System parameters/parmlib maintenance

zOS MF configuration and setup

z/OS performance monitoring and reporting

Team Player, customer-oriented thinking, must perform independently

Mandatory Skills:

z/OS, Parallel Sysplex, SMPE, RMF, SMF, WLM, Understanding of System z architecture, zOSMF
