We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Developer with a strong background in PySpark Databricks Workflows and Databricks SQL to join our team. With a focus on Property Casualty Insurance the ideal candidate will enhance our data processing capabilities ensuring robust and scalable solutions. Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience into Databricks is mandatory
- Proven experience with PySpark Databricks Workflows and Databricks SQL is mandatory.
- Familiarity with Python Azure Event Hub Azure DevOps and other Azure services is highly desirable.
- Experience in Property Casualty Insurance domain is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex data challenges.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with a track record of successful collaboration.
- A commitment to continuous learning and improvement staying updated with the latest industry trends.
- Ability to work independently managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and optimization of scalable data processing pipelines using PySpark and Databricks Workflows.
- Design and implement efficient Databricks SQL queries to manage and analyze large datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing best practices in data handling and storage.
- Contribute to the design and development of data models to support our analytics and business intelligence efforts.
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues applying optimizations to enhance system efficiency.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in cloud computing and data technologies applying insights to our projects.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers fostering a culture of learning and growth.
- Participate in code reviews ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
