Job Description for Pega Functional Tester

Responsibilities:

• Requirement Analysis: Understand and analyze business requirements and functional specifications.
• Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on the requirements.
• Test Execution: Perform functional testing using Pega's out-of-the-box tools like PegaUnit for unit testing and Pega Scenario testing for end-to-end functional testing1.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Automation: Utilize Pega Platform capabilities and industry test solutions to build and maintain automated test suites2.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in functional testing, preferably with Pega applications.
• Tools: Familiarity with PegaUnit, Pega Scenario testing, and other testing tools like JUnit, SoapUI1.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Pega Platform and its testing frameworks.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
