Job summary

We are seeking a highly skilled GeoSpatial Sr. Developer with expertise in Java to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 12 years of experience in business operations and will work in a hybrid model with day shifts. This role involves developing and maintaining geospatial applications ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. The candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our geospatial capabilities and contributing to the companys overall su

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain geospatial applications using Java to ensure high performance and responsiveness.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.

Ensure the best possible performance quality and responsiveness of applications.

Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to improve application performance.

Work closely with business operations to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Implement geospatial algorithms and data processing techniques to enhance application functionality.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the application remains current and competitive.

Develop and execute unit tests to ensure the reliability of the application.

Document development processes code changes and other relevant information.

Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning stand-ups and retrospectives.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all development activities.

Qualifications

Possess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

Have 8 to 12 years of experience in software development with a focus on geospatial applications.

Demonstrate strong proficiency in Java and related frameworks.

Exhibit experience in business operations and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

Show expertise in geospatial algorithms and data processing techniques.

Have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Display strong communication and collaboration skills.

Be familiar with agile development methodologies.

Have experience with version control systems like Git.

Show a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.

Have experience with unit testing and test-driven development.

Exhibit a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
