Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute manual and automated tests during software and system development to ensure they are operational and effective prior to release.
• Work with developers and stakeholders to get an understanding of what the system is meant to do, its functionality and who the end-users are
• Decompose complex or large systems into smaller parts to test
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases and detailed test scripts
• Uses COTS testing software and frameworks perform automated testing and reporting
• Perform a variety of test types including unit, functional, security, regression, limit, integration, stress, performance and scalability
• Report progress, risks and bugs identified to the software development and project management teams
• Perform testing in a variety of platforms and components including networks, operating systems, applications, databases, browsers and mobile devices
• Understand, follows and promotes the values and principles in the Agile Manifesto
• Understand, follows and promotes continuous cyber security risk management
