Data Compliance Officer

Summary :

The Data Compliance Officer will be responsible for managing and ensuring Cognida's compliance with various data regulations, including SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and other relevant laws and standards. This role requires a highly motivated individual who can work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Data Compliance Manager will work closely with the company's legal, IS, security, and technical teams to ensure that all data handling practices align with established industry standards.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant data compliance regulations, including SOC2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA, and ensure that Cognida's policies and practices align with these standards.

- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the collection, storage, and use of data, including processes for responding to data breaches and other security incidents.

- Lead internal audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with data regulations and industry standards.

- Collaborate with the legal, IS, security, and technical teams to ensure that all data handling practices meet Cognida's legal and technical requirements.

- Conduct regular training and education sessions for employees on data compliance and privacy regulations.

- Respond to customer inquiries regarding data privacy and compliance.

- Work with external auditors and regulators to maintain compliance with relevant data regulations.

- Stay up-to-date on changes to data compliance regulations and communicate any changes to Cognida's teams.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Information Security, or Business Administration.

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in data compliance or a related field.

- Experience with SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and other relevant data compliance regulations.

- Strong knowledge of data security and privacy practices.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
